OK …. DISpods has been away all summer. Something about having your WDW annual pass blocked out all summer makes it hard to listen to podcasts about Disney World : )
But our passes are back and we have a trip booked in a few weeks, so here we go !
It amazes me when I go search on “WDW” or “Disney” on i-tunes how many new podcasts appear. In today’s Quick Takes I will introduce a few new podcasts to the DISpods clan.
We’re Going to Disney World Podcast
Website: http://wgtwdw.podbean.com/page/3/
This podcast started in September 2011. It is hosted by … Ed (?), Quinn (14), and Hope (11)
If you like listening to or reading trip reports you will love this podcast. When at WDW they record themselves in the parks with just enough attraction audio to make you feel like you are there. Some episodes they give great tips and news updates. A great addition to the DISpods clan.
I-tunes only goes back to episode 8 so if you want to start with the first episode you’ll have to go to their website.
The Walt Disney World Big Q
Website: http://wdwbigq.podomatic.com/
Their official bio: Each bi-weekly episode looks at an open-ended Disney World related big question. Big questions are often silly, unrealistic, and outright zany. We discuss and argue our Disney-lovin’ hearts out.
This podcast is hosted by brothers Jesse and Jamie, and their cousin Nick. In each episode they post a question about WDW and have a bit of an “outlandish”, irreverent conversation about it. Each episode is about 15-20 minutes long. This is a nice change of pace from some of the more conventional news oriented podcasts. If you like WDW Today you will probably like this podcast as well.
Before you go Radio
Website: http://wdwbigq.podomatic.com/
This podcast is hosted by Boomer, Jodie, and Maddigan
Each episode is about 10-15 minutes long and addresses a specific issues such as Staying at a WDW Resort, Disney Dining Plan, and ADRs. The hosts are very likeable and informative. They haven’t posted an episode since May and DISpods hopes they post again soon (I can relate).
Next Up: In anticipation of our uncoming trip, I will go through the podcast archives and highlight some reviews and trip reports about Animal Kingdom Lodge.
